Child Friendly Australia invites you to play a part in creating a child friendly community. Research has shown that the best way to prevent child abuse and neglect, before it starts, is by building stronger communities that support and value children and families.

Funded by Queensland's Department of Communities, the Play a Part project is a ‘whole of community' approach to building child friendly communities. Play a Part's aim is to promote the benefits of a child friendly culture and practices and support communities to create their unique child friendly environments and child friendly practices, reflective of the individual community's assets.

The Play a Part project team work in collaborative partnership with the community offering support to natural community gatherings to identify, explore and map their community's strengths and assets so they can develop and implement their unique Child Friendly Initiatives.
