Child Friendly Partners and Initiatives

Spiritus Early Parent Centre has been a partner in the Children's Views, Children's Voices project . The EPC Playgroup has participated in the CVCV consultation which included the development and implementation of their own 4-week Child Friendly Action plan to consult children on what made them feel happy, safe, healthy, loved.

The mums and bubs group has also participated in a workshop the about NAPCAN's Children See, Children Do campaign. During the workshop parents discussed and identified current positive role modeling practices and to identify the strengths and challenges experienced as a parent. Information from this workshop will provide feedback to the EPC in order to develop future training opportunities.

Wandarrah Pre School has been a partner in the Children's Views, Children's Voices proje ct. This included the development and implementation of their own 4-week Child Friendly Action plan to consult children on what made them feel happy, safe, healthy, loved.

  C&K Carole Park Childcare has been a partner in the Children's Views, Children's Voices project. This included the development and implementation of their own 4-week Child Friendly Action plan to consult children on what made them feel happy, safe, healthy, loved.

Gailes Community House has been a partner in the Children's Views, Children's Voices project. The Little Gems Playgroup has participated in the CVCV consultation which included the development and implementation of their own 4-week Child Friendly Action plan to consult children on what made them feel happy, safe, healthy, loved.

ABC Education City Centre [1] is playing their part by participating in a series of Consultation Workshops with the children in the Preschool room. Undertaken by Springfield Project Facilitator Alana Dillon , these sessions will take place over 4 weeks and follow the framework of the Children's Views, Children's Voices project, exploring the children's ideas about feeling happy, healthy, safe and loved.

  The Rainbow Project at the Kath Dickson Centre- child friendly initiative has been to work with their Play Groups in rural areas. The Rainbow Project has been funded by the Federal Govt to set up Play Groups in drought affected areas. 4 Play a Part Workshops have been conducted under this partnership and 2 groups have developed CFAPs

  Possums Play Group at Southbrook has a child friendly vision to:
•  Increase the number of women coming to play group.
•  Have the community nurse attend once a month.
•  Improve the safety of the rail crossing so that children can walk safely to school.

The exciting outcomes of this Play a Part initiative has been an increase in the number of women attending and the nurse attends monthly. Also, Q'ld Rail has agreed to prioritise the upgrading of the crossing in Southbrook.
