Child Friendly Communities: Play a Part!
The Play a Part project team work in collaborative partnership with local community offering support to natural community gatherings to identify, explore and map their community's strengths and assets so they can develop and implement their unique Child Friendly Initiatives. Utilising the innovative Play a Part Resource Kit and this website, the six natural community gatherings will be able to initiate action, involve all and inspire others to create child friendly communities. NAPCAN works directly with children and young people to strengthen their protective behaviours and to build their resilience and life skills. "KiDS CAN", and its project of significance such as "LOVE BiTES "are key examples as are "Stomp It", which focuses specifically on Indigenous young people, and the "Smart Online, Safe Offline" project which works within the cyber community to raise awareness and strengthen protective behaviours.
