Kristyne Love, Coordinator for Groote Eylandt & Milyakburra Youth Development Unit Inc emailed us with details and photos from the Children's Week 07 Celebration held on Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpenteria.
"We had over 200 kids from the 3 communities. The police ran the jumping castle which was a big hit. The activities were painting, spray painting with bottles of food colouring on material, play dough, jewellery making, fairy bread making, craft which included make your own hand puppets, colouring in, and my favourite was the table with marshmallows, 100's and 1000's, biscuits, icing etc.. you make your own creation then eat it."
