LOOK is a KiDS CAN initiative undertaken as a pilot project with well respected Author, Artist and Educator Ursula Kolbe. As a former artist teacher in early childhood education , Ursula conducted the pilot with the support of 11 childcare centres from NSW and volunteer artists with the aim of raising community awareness of children's potential as thinkers and explorers in the area of the visual arts.

By reminding adults that even little children are highly receptive to the world around them, LOOK provides more evidence supporting NAPCAN's theme for National Child Protection Week 2008: Children See Children Do. NAPCAN firmly believes that a critical factor in breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect is through positive behavioural change at the individual level, -all Australians accepting their personal responsibility to be positive role models for children.
