The Australian Government's Stonger Families and Communities Stategy: the Communities for Children initiative, aims to assist
children aged 0-5 years to have the
best possible start in life and to
influence the contexts within which
they live - their family and community,
and the broader social, economic
and cultural environments.
Communities for Children takes a community development approach to improving outcomes for young children and their families, incorporating key principles such as collaborative action, building on community strengths and contributing to family and community capacity building. Rosemeadow and Ambarvale in the Campbelltown Local Government Area is one of the 45 C4C sites in Australia . The Benevolent Society is the Facilitating Partner for the Campbelltown site and has highlighted six major themes that the C4C Community Strategic Plan focuses on: isolation, child friendly play areas and activities for children, access to services, mental health and drug and alcohol, young and sole parents and unemployment
Under the local Community Strategic Plan, C4C funds 11 different projects that support better outcomes for children and families and work towards creating a child friendly community. MORE

The Inala to Goodna C4C is a 4 year initiative funded by the Australian Government under the Stronger Families and Communities Strategy and facilitated by Mission Australia . It is focused on children 0 to 5 years living in the suburbs of Inala, Durack, Richlands, Carole Park, Wacol, Gailes and Goodna, their families and their community, and aims to give children a better start in life.
